Online oral presentation guidelines
Online Platform
Please note that you do not need any special software to join the online platform. It is recommended to use Edge, Firefox or other but not Google Chrome to enter the online platform. DIOXIN2021 Secretariat will open the live conference on November 08(Beijing Time) to make sure that everyone can test the access in advance.
Presentation Guidelines
We support all common PowerPoint presentation formats up to and including version 2019. The recommended aspect ratio for your presentation is 16:9 format.
Invited presentations should not exceed 20 min, including Q&A.
Oral presentations should not exceed 15 min, including Q&A.
Student oral presentations should not exceed 10 min, including Q&A.
Please be referred to ten simple rules for making good oral presentations.
Presentation by Pre-Recorded Video Lecture
If it is not possible for you to give a live presentation of your lecture during the conference, you can instead pre-record your lecture and send it to DIOXIN2021 Secretariat (Email: dioxinsecretariat@163.com) as a finished video file.
All online speakers are suggested to prepare a pre-record video and send it to DIOXIN2021 Secretariat as a backup in case of any live broadcasting problems. The recommended video format is MP4 (H.264 codec) or Windows Media (WMV), the video of presentation screen can be recorded by ZOOM or other recording software.
Online presentation will be streamed in 16:9 image format and in full HD resolution. Please prepare your lecture with 1920*1080 resolution.
Live Presentation via Zoom
Instructions of online presentation:
A. Download ZOOM at https://www.zoomvideo.cn/zoomplusdownload/
B. Prepare a laptop or a desktop computer with a web cam.
C. Make sure the camera, loudspeaker and microphone are in good condition.
D. Network requirements: the network needs to be stable for more than 20M.
E. Join the ZOOM live room 30 minutes before the schedule time.
F. Turn off the microphone when enter the ZOOM live room. Keep only the live room and conference website on the computer to avoid sound interference.
G. Don't block your camera while speaking. Keep the camera on.
H. Please finish your presentation within 20/15/10 minutes.
Test meeting zoom
Zoom test meeting for all online speakers in preparation for the conference will be arranged shortly before the DIOXIN2021. The date and the exact schedule will be sent to you in due time.
*All Online Presentation (PPT or recorded video) could be browsed at the conference website for TWO more weeks after the conference. Please kindly contact us if you DO NOT wish your presentation to be listed or browsed on the website.
Onsite oral presentation guidelines

If you cannot give your oral presentation for any reason, please nominate, if possible, a co-author as a substitute. Please be referred to ten simple rules for making good oral presentations.

Instructions on the presentation session:
A. The conference will be streamed in 16:9 image format and in full HD resolution, prepare the PPT in 16:9 format.
B. Submit it to the speaker ready room half a day before the schedule time at least.
C. Enter the conference hall 30 minutes before the schedule time.
D. Due to the tight schedule of DIOXIN2021, all speakers are requested to strictly abide by the schedule.

Poster presentation guidelines
These guidelines apply to all authors presenting an e-poster. All posters will be displayed in the Electronic Poster Hall of the conference website. All Chinese posters will be printed by DIOXIN2021 Secretariat and displayed in Conference Room. TWO poster sessions are scheduled from 14:00-15:00 on November 09 and 10. All e-posters need to be handed in with the following specifications:
A. Download the E-poster template from the website.
B. Upload the E-poster in the personal center of the conference website.
C. E-poster should be uploaded in JPG file (one page, portrait format).
D. Include all co-authors and their contact details on the poster.
E. Contact details of the lead author for publication in the poster, especially email address in case of questions from the viewers.
F. Please be referred to ten simple rules for a good e-poster.
G. Deadline for upload: November 01. The E-poster virtual hall will be available very soon in August.
